David,

Which version of FH are you using? If you are using version 3 you can adjust
the height between generations and the vertical alignment using the
'movement control box' . (Click on the icon with the two arrows on the right
hand end of the main tool bar. Then click on 'help' within this box for more
information).

In version 2 ( as far as I remember - not sure) the dimensions tab within
the diagram options box will allow you to adjust the spacing of generations.
(When you have a diagram displayed, click on 'Diagram' in the main tool bar
then click on 'options' at the bottom of the drop-down menu).
