Read most of these but not commented before, but I would expect copy and
paste to paste what was originally copied, not a later update.

A week after the last posting on this subject seems to be an appropriate
time to summarise.

I know that this isn't a democracy, and that this list isn't necessarily
representative of all FH users but I hope that Calico Pie would want to use
the comments on this list to gauge opinion.

This is my interpretation of the comments:
In favour of the v3.0 method: 4
Ambivalent: 1
In favour of the v3.1 method: 0

That doesn't look to be a ringing endorsement of the change. Can we have a
statement from Calico Pie on the future of this issue?
