Yes just use a query.

How do you want to compute the age, or do you mean you want to sort by
birthdate?

The Surname Summary Query in the Query Store
http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=redirectd&cat=queries&id=2

Already prompts to select by Surname and if you download that and then
click on the birthdate column it will sort in to birth order.
