I don't know how I wound up on this list, but I love newsletters! I love writing in general!
I do a newsletter quarterly (or as often as I have time). I have for many years. It gives so many opporutnities to witness to others & share some of the fun things our family has done - or most often said - since we don't go many places.
What kind of things would anyone want to talk about?

There are a myriad number of lists on rootsweb and many of
them have extremely low traffic. Still, they continue to exist.
This is a genealogy-related topic, so I doubt that they would
just close it. I wouldn't subscribe to this list if it were on Yahoo
Groups - too difficult to navigate and you have to deal with a
ton of spam and gigantic ads on every page.

Hi y'all!

Maybe we need a project or topic to get us talking again.

I was thinking that we could help those on the list without
newsletters to come up with titles or enough info to send out a one
page or even a postcard family newsletter. For a start, would someone
volunteer his/her family or name to let us discuss topics for them to
write about to begin their own newsletter? You could fit a short bio
(without identifying info) of a family member (one of your parents?)
on a postcard and maybe a photo and have everyone guess. I think that
would be a good beginning. Has anyone tried doing a postcard
newsletter?

Tisha
