These are the questions that I send to family members before featuring their
branch of the family in the newsletter. I 'stole' it from another source,
and didn't write down where, so if I've borrowed it from someone on the list,
please know that I didn't originate these questions.
There are other questions that I wish I had included: hobbies,
church/civic/social activities/awards/honors, memories of your parents, that sort of
thing. I'll be adding those questions to this next round of family profiles.
I hate to change the format in the middle of a 'run' because I don't want
someone who's already turned in a questionnaire to feel slighted. But this is
a good basic questionnaire that can be adapted to your own family situation.
I have a 'spaced out' version with lots of white space after the
questions for the folks to write their answers. I also urge them to attach another
piece of paper or use the back of the page if they don't have enough room.
Hope this will help get your creative juices flowing. It's worked well
for me and I've gotten some amazing stories and memories from family members.
