Any note that has a dividing line in it that has NO SPACES and wraps
way over onto two lines in the notes edit screen can cause this. Look
for a line like this in a note:

or

- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might try making the gedcom file without notes. If it does OK
that way then that shows the problem is in the notes.

If you find any long lines like this, either shorten them or insert
spaces about every 5 characters.

Also, you might check on your hard drive for the gedcom you were
trying to make before the program froze. I was experimenting the
other day with a long line like above and later I found that FO HAD
created a gedcom file but where the program froze there were several
hundred thousand blank 2 CONC lines making the gedcom file over 4 MB
in size!!! Such a file should be deleted lest you use up all your
hard drive.
