I have noticed in trying to find info in the 1860 census, especially
from the Broderbund disc, that there seems to be very little info from
Iowa and Missouri. Can anyone recommend a method for getting, at least
to start, an idex lookup for Iowa, maybe Davenport from the 1860.
In addition how about one for St. Louis, MO from the 1860.
Please don't recomend the LDSHC as there is not one near.
I am looking for William or Richard DORNAN. At this time they should
have been married to MARY. She will become the wife of DANIEL FARRELL.
Mary is in Phelps NY in the NY 1855 census and her obit says she moved
to Davenport then on to St. Louis. She shows up in Galesburg Illinois
in 1864, single and a widow. I am not sure which DORNAN she married and
am hoping a census will show the way.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Slainte,
Tim
