My husband's line includes the Ferrells who lived in VA, Mecklenburg,
Lunenburg and Halifax Cos. Our Wm Chiles Ferrell moved from Republican Grove,
Halifax Co, VA to Jasper Co, MS about 1837. Wm was the son of James F, Jr and
Jemima Hutcheson. I have a much younger Byrd Lanier Ferrell who was a cousin
to James F. Jr, but can't help with the family listed below.
Barbara Ferrell
Can anyone help Kristopher with this group?

Have you ever heard of Captain Byrd Ferrell, who was born about 1760 in
NC to William Ferrell? It is supposed that he had a brother named
Benjamin who settled in Screven Co., GA; Byrd settled in Hancock Co, GA.
Much of the family later migrated to Alabama. I am trying to establish
some connections with this family.
