Hello Farrell list,

My FARRELLs - Bridget nee DEVINE, widow of John FARRELL, and children -
arrived in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey in the early 1870s. They
had lived in New York (probably the Albany area) for the previous 20 years
according to later records, but I have so far not found any trace of them
before they came to Paterson, despite much searching for over 10 years.
Bridget and John were born in Ireland; their known children (all born New
York) in Paterson are:

1. Dennis - 1850-1911, m. Mary CAVANAGH, lived in Paterson
2. Mary - b. abt 1858, had daughter Nellie in 1882?, disappeared after 1887
3. John - b. abt 1861, disappeared after 1890
4. Margaret - b. abt 1863, never married, lived in Paterson with sister
Kate BYRNES
5. William - b. abt 1865, living with sister Delia CONKLIN in 1900 census
then disappeared
6. Delia/Bridget - 1866-1909, m. Hiram CONKLIN, lived near Sloatsburg,
Rockland County, NY
7. Catherine/Kate - 1868-1918, m. John BYRNES, lived in Paterson

Other FARRELL family members (relationships to above unknown at present)
include:

1. Catherine Maria FARRELL - b. abt 1833 Ireland, d. after 1900, married
John QUEENEY, lived in Jersey City (1860s) and Paterson NJ (1870 forward)
2. Thomas FARRELL - Queeney baptismal sponsor 1860s Jersey City NJ
3. Lawrence FARRELL - Queeney baptismal sponsor 1860s Jersey City NJ
4. Catherine FARRELL - abt 1870-1929, niece of Catherine Queeney, lived
with QUEENEYs in Paterson 1880 on, daughter of Thomas and Mary Farrell,
born Philadelphia PA (from death cert - no trace of family in records there)
5. Margaret FARRELL - b. abt 1864, niece of Catherine Queeney, living with
QUEENEYs in 1900 census then disappeared

If anyone recognizes any of these people, I'd love to hear from you. I'm
also tracing all FARRELLs in Paterson and have much info to share if your
FARRELLs lived there.
