Dear Geralyn
Great to hear from you. What is your connection to the Farrells, exactly?
I would be very interested to hear of any connections you can make between these relatives of mine and anyone else on your records. Do you think you could communicate with me directly on . I live in London, UK.
Unfortunately I do not have any further information other than that I have given you. I would be very grateful to know your thinking on where possible connections might lie.
My other interest lies in the directly related generation of Farrells who went to the States 50 or so years after Larry Farrell. I wonder if you have any information on these:
The Family of Edward Farrell and Bridget Farrell (née Martin)
Edward Farrell has two possible birth dates: 6 February 1839 and 23 December 1838). He died on 24 May 1924. He was the husband of Bridget Martin of Badamabilla, Aughrim. These were their children (if nothing written, they stayed in Ireland]:
·Ellen
·Winnie (Winifred) – married John Glennan (Kilreekil), moved to New York, ch. 8
·Mary Ann – married Mike Murphy in New York, ch. 7
·Katie, married Peter Sellas, an Italian, in USA, son Peter [or was it Sellars/ Sellers or similar].
Martin
John
Rosie
The family knows nothing about what happened to Winnie, Mary Ann or Katie, who went to the States at the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s. We would be VERY grateful for any further information. Martin's wife had cousins in New Jersey so they may indeed be in your records.
Thanks for considering this request.
Yours sincerely
John Kenny
