Hello All,

By using deeds, wills, and arithmetic, I think we are close to linking
the Robinson clan members. My usage of the above agrees with Janet's
research. Robinson, Short, and Hawkins families lived at Smiths Creek. On a
1775 North Carolina map Smiths Creek runs from Roanoke River in Mecklenburg
Co., VA into Warren Co., NC close to Wise. Smiths Creek is between Wise and
the Warren County line. Emanuel and the Dickerson family lived on the
courthouse fork of Sandy Creek at Warrenton just below Smiths Creek. Fishing
Creek flows parallel and east of Sandy Creek. Present map shows Roanoke
River dammed forming lakes.
