I am interested in tracing my Featherstone relatives who appear to come from
the Bristol area of England.

I am the only son of Alfred William George Featherstone who was born on 14
July 1908 at Cardiff, the only son of Alfred John Featherstone (aka John
Alfred Featherstone) and Mary Davi(e)s. He was brought up in Newport, Mon.,
when it was part of England.

Alfred John Featherstone was born on 21 October 1879 at Bristol. He was a
licensed victualler (in Newport).

Alfred John's father was John Alfred Featherstone who was born on 11 January
1852 at Bristol. He was married to Sarah Jane Selman (born in 1848? in
Bristol). He was a wheelwright/coach builder.

He also had two daughters: Alice Featherstone, born 1876? at Bristol and
Rosina Featherstone, born in 1878? at Bristol.

John Alfred Featherstone's father was John Featherstone, born 1815 in
Bristol. He was married to Mary Tyte (a widow (nee Wootton) born in 1820?).
He was a cooper.

My research is stuck at that point.
