It would appear from my Atlas of Parishes that if Barhaugh is a few miles
from Haltwhistle then it will be in that parish. Haltwhistle records start
in 1656. Parishes to the south Lambley(1742) to the south east Whitfield
(1600) To the west Haydon Bridge(1654), Newbrough(1725), Simonburn(1682). To
the north east Wark,(1818). To the north Greystead(1818). To the west is the
county of Cumberland. with the parishes of Lanercost(1684) being the most
likely and Nether Denton(1703) to the south west.

Thanks, Jean for the info on Thorpe, Burnsall and Barhaugh. I knew where
the first two were but
was not 100% certain where Barhaugh was/is. Have you any idea which parish
Barhaugh mught have
been in, in the 1700s?
