For my friends at the Featherstone Society. Below is a compiliation of the
information I was finally able to find on William Featherstone's (The Elder)
ancestors. I have includes the LDS Film No. sources for all this
information. Hopefully, we can collectively work on verifying this
information further and expanding it.

Generation No. 1

1. WILLIAM Featherstone, I (The Elder)1,2, born July 31, 1642 in Hampton
in Arden, Warwick, England3; died Bef. December 23, 1728 in Charles City
County, Virginia. He was the son of 2. THOMAS Featherstone and 3. Anna
Fields. He married (1) <Unknown> Plymbrough Bet. 1684 - 1689 in Charles City
County, Virginia. He married (2) Mary May 1689.

Notes for WILLIAM Featherstone, I (The Elder):
William is rumored to have been transported to Accomack County, Virginia
in January 1664/1665 by Robert Richardson.


Per Fred Featherstone<, Monday, October 27, 1997, William
Featherston(e) was a headright arriving in America (Virginia) in the time
frame 1644-1718.

Per Carol in Houston, Texas, on Sunday October, 25, 1998, a William
Featherstone was transported to Accomack Co., Virginia in January 1664/1665
by Robert Richardson. Apparently this William had a daughter named Jane who
married 1st John Cross and had a son William, she then married a 2nd time
(after 1731) Francis Hardyman. (Need to cross-reference and double-check all
this information).

I need to go back to my records which are not on this computer, but since it
talks about transporting him it had to have Cavaliers and Pioneers or more
probably Adventures of Purse and Person. I will check and get back to you

LDS Records have Wlm Fetherston christened on 7/31/1642 in Hampton in Arden,
Warwick, England. His parents are listed as Thomas Fetherston and Ann
Bruerton, who were married 6/30/1627 in All Saints, West Bromich, Stafford,
England.

This LDS record was the only one that matched the accepted approximated year
of birth previously known for this William, which was about 1642.
