Subject: [FEATHERSTONE] another George the Baker

I was looking at old trade directories this afternoon (just the sort of mad
thing you do on a hot Saturday afternoon) – and I found George FEATHERSTONE
baker in 1834 and 1839 Pigots Directory at Calverley Road Tonbridge Wells
(the spelling in the directory).

Is Calverley Road anywhere near The Pantiles/The Parade?

The 1881 census shows a George FEATHERSTONE baker in the Parade born
Bromley.

Was there a connection between the Bromley and Tunbridge Wells Featherstones
in the 1830s?

I’ve found a number of “baker” connections in the FEATHERSTONE family –
George FEATHERSTONE born 1861 in Greenwich is also a baker, he was the
nephew of George the Pantiles; George FEATHERSTONE son of John (another
nephew) is a journeyman baker in Haslemere Surrey in the 1881 census.
