He may have been born in Mississippi...My g-grandmother, Annie Belfield Featherston, was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and during her growing up years was good friends with the wife of Robert E. Lee. I can remember seeing a tin-type picture of these two young ladied that was taken in Mississippi.
The picture was the property of my Aunt Effie; so, I can only assume that her grandson has it now.
