Cara,
This is not a Featherstone related enquiry, but from my own family research.
Where do your ALLISON family come from? My g-g-g-grandfather was a Robert
ALLISON born about 1754 in Perthshire, cabinet-maker to the Duke of Atholl
and residing in Dunkeld, Perthshire. He married Mary Keir in 1798. His
children were:
1.David born 1799 Dunkeld married Mary Henderson in 1821 in Perth.
Probably emigrated to NZ.
2.Elspeth born 1801 Dunkeld (my G-g-grandmother who married James McIntyre
in Perth.
3. William born 1805 Dunkeld married Janet Dow in Perth (could also have
emigrated to NZ)
4. Robert born 1807.
Naomi in Levin NZ
3. Wiliam w
