Subject: Postcard Index re Featherstone
Dear Mr Featherstone
I notice from the One name site that you are conducting a one name study. As
many people collect all references to the name I wondered if you maybe
interested in this venture.
I run the Postcard Index, which is at the moment, a collection of over
70,000
picture postcards. I index the name and address of the recipient. The aim
is simply to unite these old cards, I cover the years 1899 - 1950, with
anyone who has an interest in the original recipient. Full details are on
the Internet at the site below.
I have many of the one-name groups and societies registered with me. To
register the name and all its variants where applicable it is a once only
fee
of £3. This ensures that any cards coming into my collection (I process
about
1,000 a month) with the relevant name is reserved for you.
The cards are only £1 each plus a SAE. As a matter of interest I enclose
the
list of cards I presently have in the name/s you are interested in.
1. Mrs Ethel Featherstone 13 Napier St Oldham Dated c1915
2. Mr W Featherstone Sandringham House Southsea Dated 1904
3. Mr/Mrs Featherstone Sugelby Arncliffe Northallerton Dated 1922
If you have no interest in this matter then a negative reply is not
required.
Yours Sincerely
Colin Buck
