Naomi,

Please contact Diane Featherstone as she will have
more details than I have. She has all the lists of wills.

Subject: [FEATHERSTONE] Wills

Christine,

>Featherstone Fawkes of 52 Claremont-road Tunbridge Wells died 10 February
1912 Probate London 9 October to Frank Featherstone merchant £4050

These are two sons of George the baker - Frank is June's grandfather.
Presumably Fawkes did not marry. How can I find out more about what is in
this will?.

>Featherstone Frederick of 60 Claremont-road Tunbridge Wells died 24 March
1932 Probate London 25 August to Florence Emily Featherstone widow Ernest
Edward Allen chemist and Henry Featherstone engineer Effects £3235 7s 5d

The oldest son of George the baker. Henry was the son of Frederick and
Florence.

>Featherstone Fritz of Wyncot Station-road Herne Bay Kent died 19 July 1933
Probate London 9 December to Winifred Gertrude Featherstone widow Effects
£4442 18s 2d

I wonder if this was the fourth son of George the baker.

Featherstone George of 51 Queens Road Tunbridge Wells died 4 November 1901
Probate London 31 January to Elizabeth Jane Featherstone widow and Frederick
Featherstone and Frank Featherstone confectioners £44,499 12s Resworn
August 1902 £43668 8s 0d

George the baker, June's great grandfather - I really would like a copy of
this one if it is obtainable. That was big money in those days. For a lad
who was born to a labourer and lived for a while in the workhouse that
wasn't bad going, was it?

Thank Diane for me would you, Christine. This was a tremendous bit of
work.

Naomi
