Connie,
Scottish general registration started in 1855, and the births for the whole
of Scotland for 1857 are on a film obtainable through the Family History
centres. This should pinpoint where your Janette Drummond came from. It
will also point to the film of the county where she was registered with that
particular certificate photographed. This will tell you who her parents
were and set you on the right path.

Alternatively you can go through the Internet, but this is more expensive.

The Featherstone one is more difficult - good hunting.
