Hello Joseph,
I think you may be referring to Tolna County, Hungary. This is
in the southern part of Hungary today. Martin sounds German.
Hungary had 1,902,000 Germans in 1900 according to the
Historical Atlas of East Central Europe by Paul Robert Magocsi.
I highly recommend this book for all central and east European
researchers.
The Family History Library has filmed many of the records in
Hungary so check the online catalogue to see if records are available
for this area. familysearch.org
