From memory I think someone was interested in knowing who the Fenians
were. In an appendix at the back of the Keith Amos' "The Fenians in
Australia 1865-1880" is a list of those sent out to Australia on the
Hougoumont in 1867.
These only 105 were convicted and imprisoned on charges of Fenian
conspiracy................two thirds of these prisoners in a final shipment
of convicts to Western Australia." (page 78)
The list also shows if they were given a free pardon, conditional pardon or
certificate of freedom.
The information that may be of interest to some of the list members is the
destination of many of the Fenians - quite a number appear to have
travelled to America.
As there are 62 Fenians listed I will send them alphabetically in groups of 10.
