Here is a document that has both Lewis FERGUSON, Sr. son of John
FERGUSON who d. 1794, Culpeper and an Elijah FERGUSON.

FERGUSON to COMBS
This Indenture made this 5th day of September Eighteen hundred and
twenty nine between Lewis FERGUSON and Polly FERGUSON his wife of the
one part and JohnL COMBS of the other part, both of the County of Barren
State of Kentucky Witnefseth [Witnesseth] that the said Lewis FERGUSON
and Wife hath this day bargained sold and conveyed and do by these
presents bargain sell and convey unto said COMBS a certain tract or
parcel of Land, lying and being in the County and State aforesaid
containing six Acres, more or lefs [less] on the waters of little Barren
River for the sum of twentythree dollars, to them in hand paid, the
receip [receipt] whereof they do hereby acknowledge, and bounded as
follows, Towit, Beginning on two chestnuts trees on the South side of
the Road, near John CROWS line thence with said line N5W 50 poles to a
red Oak thence with SHOCKLEYS line, South 85 West, 85 poles to CROWS
line thence South 50 East 64 polesto the Beginning which tract of Land
we the said above bound Lewis FERGUSON and Polly FERGUSON do warrant and
defend from us & our Heirs and afsigns[assigns] and do warrant and
defend right and title of said land from all andevery person or persons
whatsoever together with all the appertenances thereunto our hands and
affixed our seals, the day and date above written,

Signed Sealed & delivered in persence of us.
Benjamin COMBS. Elija FERGUSON, John ENNIS, Joseph REED
Barren County-(Towit)
I as Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that
the foregoing Deed, from Lewis FERGUSON and Polly his wife to John L.
COMBS was on the day of the date hereof proved before me to be the act
and Deed of the said Lewis FERGUSON by the Oaths of Benjamin COMBS and
Elijah FERGUSON subscribing Witnefses whereupon the aforesaid Deed of
Conveyance and this Certificate hath been duly admited to Record, in my
office on the 11th day of September 1829.
