Results are now in for David Lawrence Ferguson. His ancestor is John A.
FERGUSON b. 12 Apr 1821 Kilinian, Islay, Scotland. His 37 markers match
within 2 of Rodney Ferguson whose ancestors hail from Clones, County
Monaghan, Ulster. They probably share an ancestor within 300-570 years.
Heretofore I had grouped Rodney as R1b Atlantic but with considerable
uncertainty and thus subject to change. I could not justify putting
David in that same group and thus I had to search for a new group in
which they would both fit. The best I could come up with is John
McEwan's R1b1STR18. Very little is known about this group or cluster
because there are so few examples to work with.
