Bob,
This is getting pretty close to home! I have tried in the past to connect
my Andrew J Ferguson of Hancock co, Tn to this group of Ferguson's in
Russell co, but have not succeeded. My Andrew b ca 1800 in NC (Wilkes?) and
died in Hancock co before 1850. Married Elizabeth Gray. (There were also
Gray families in Russell co also. and she was supposedly b in Va.
On the other end of the spectrum we have the DNA match between my Andrew and
Holly Ferguson's dad, ( who thinks that she goes back to Isaac Ferguson of
Halifax co, Va. Isaac b 1700 Va. The third dna match is a group of
Ferguson's of Bledsoe co, Tn (migrated from Wilkes co, NC) that is Jim Bob
Ferguson, sponsored by Gerald Hope. \So you can see that there is an
excitement here Could John Campbell have been connected to the Isaac
Ferguson line of Halifax, Va/
