Hello Gail,
I was in Belfast today and I had a very quick look for the Ingrams .
You mentioned Naan Island so
I looked at the 1901 census and for Naan Island we have:
Naan East uninhabited.
Naan South uninhabited
Naan West census taken on the Sunday night of 31 st March 1901
3 Families living on the Island.
Mc' Elgunn family X2
Anne Rehill widow and head of household, R.C. cannot read or write farmer
,age60
Francis Rehill son R.C. Read and write, farmer, age35 unmarried
Mary Rehill daughter R.C. read only ,farmer, age38 ,unmarried.
All born in Fermanagh
No Ingrams found here although John Ingram may have worked Rehill's land
In 1865 Thomas Rehill was living on Naan with a house and 1 acre of ground.
I take it that Thomas was the husband of Anne and father of Francis and
Mary.
I looked futher into the tithe applotment book of 1828 and found the Ingrams
occupying an entire TOWNLAND all to themselves!
Townland of Diviny, Parish of Magheraculmoney, Barony of Lurg.
David Ingram
James Ingram senior
James Ingram junior
William Ingram
David Ingram
all land and dwellings leased from Harriot Cuffe (widow)
other Ingrams
Maggie Ingram townland of Cushwash, Parish of Aghalucher
fron Earl of Erne, house only, value 1 per year(a very poor house)
The total number of Ingram families in Fermanagh in 1865 was as follows:
Barony of Lurg 14 families
barony of Magheraboy 1 family
Barony of Magherastephana 1 family This is not very much but maybe it will
help you a little
Best wishes
Robert
