Thanks so much Brian!! It's fascinating to learn how names migrated and
"morphed" over time and place.
Also interesting to me is the Viking connection. My family name, Methot, is
Norman-French. Normans are of Viking heritage also!
I'm in the process of trying to confirm Simon Burns' parents' names, which
will make it easier to research Irish records. Clontivren would a place to
start off once I have more info.
