I married into the KERR family in my boyhood hometown. She was a high
school classmate. That was after I returned from 3 yrs military service in WWII
in 1945. My grandmother asked me if I met any relatives while I was in
England. My reply: "What Relatives?". My interest took off from there. I
became fascinated with their KERR branch. Coupled with their deep religious
beliefs and the sacrifices they had to live with because of it. Thus, I've
been tied to a progenitor - Robert KERR who married Jemima MORTON in
Fermanagh. I have no marriage date, nor parish. But in 1772, their 1st child was
born in Fermanagh. Before this child became 3 yrs old, this family came to
America and settled in SW Pennsylvania.
Their 2nd child William KERR became the progenitor of my Wife. Robert &
Jemima had 9 children. Their first born in Fermanagh, the rest all born in
Pennsylvania.
