Searching for your family history is one of America's favorite pastimes.
The Crowne Plaza on the oceanfront in Melbourne will welcome genealogists
from all over the southern states when the FSGS hosts its conference this
November. The Genealogical Society of South Brevard, the Brevard
Genealogical Society, and the Genealogical Society of North Brevard will
serve as local hosts of this exciting event.
The conference's featured speaker will be Claire Mire Bettag, CG(sm),
CGL(sm), well-known genealogical lecturer, who will present four lectures
on topics including land records, NARA, historical documentary
publications, and methodology. In addition, George G. Morgan, Jim Powell,
Jr., Ken Macomber, CG, Paul Enchelmayer, Deanna D. Ramsey, and C. Ann
Staley, CG will be presenting lectures covering English research, ancient
records, naturalizations, genealogy software, creating web pages, Internet
searching, organizing your research, city directories, and cemetery
preservation. In addition to his research lecturers, George G. Morgan will
be the banquet speaker.
