There are a number of Hartleys in the cemetery at the Catholic church in
either Mandarin or neighboring Loretta [spelling?]. Perhaps some one on
the list knows the address of this church to which you might write about
the church records for the Hartley family.
They may have been one of the families originally in Mayport at the
mouth of the St. Johns River who were forced to leave when the Yankees
invaded the area during the unpleasantness with Old Abe's boys.
