S19 - "Dionisia Segui. claims an undivided third part of a tract of land on
each side of the St. Lucia River and embracing the mouth of said river,
granted to Samuel Miles by the Spanish government on 7/8/1813, an undivided
1/3 of which was sold by Samuel Miles to Dionisia Segui. On the reverse
side is written: "5333 acres."
"Miles conveys, 4/3/1824, by warranty deed to Dionisia Segui, wife of
Bernardo Segui, "in hand paid" for $5,000, a third of a tract of land at the
mouth of the St. Lucia River containing 16,000 acres graanted by Governor
Kindelan to Samuel Miles on 7/8/1813."
S20 - "Dionisia Segui claims 4,000 acres on Jupiter Island and the St. Lucia
River, being a third of a concession by the Spanish government to Eusebio
Maria Gomez on 7/17/1815, which was sold to Dionisia Segui, 4/9/1824.
"Eusebio Maria Gomez sells, 4/9/1824, to Dionisia Segui, for $6,000 cash,
4,000 acres on an island known as Jupiter and a river known as St. Lucia,
being part of 12,000 acres granted to Eusebio Maria Gomez by the Spanish
government, 7/17/1815. "
S17 - "Benjamin Segui, claims lot No. 4, square No. 14 in the town of
Fernandina, 10/30/1827."
B29 - Bartolome de Castro y Ferrer (book note: "Claim B29 missing)
D15 - "Heirs of Andrew Dewees - Philip Dewees, Mary Dewees, Maria Dewees,
who is the wife of Winslow Foster, Louisa Dewees, Catherine Hall, Margaret
Floyd, Mary D. Floyd, John Floyd and Andrew Floyd, heirs of Andrew Dewees of
Pablo, St. Johns County, claim 1,809 acres and 25 perches in Pablo on the
sea-shore south of the lands of the late Juan McQueen, now belonging to
Bartolome de Castro y Ferrer, and east of the creek separating it from the
other lands of Andrew Dewees. It is part of a grant of Governor Quesada,
9/3/1791, and full title is granted the widow of Andrew Dewees, 5/4/1806.
The 2 documents are in the archives kept by William Reynolds in St.
Augustine."
