Hi Harriett - It's interesting that you're researching Mims. I have a Martha Thames, b. abt 1794 poss in SC, who married a Shadrack Mims. There is precious little about these two. I thought, at one time, that they may have gone to Alabama, but think now that they might have moved to northern SC. Still trying to figure their situation out.

My sisters and I have been researching the Mims/Peavy line. We are
descendants of Littleton Dickson Peavy B: 31 Jan 1801 D; 30 Jan 1861 in
Camilla, Mitchell County GA and Ann Mims through their son Charles
Williamson Peavy, who was our GGgrandfather.
Would like to hear from others researching the line.
