Hello,
As a descendant of Nehemiah Flewelling I have taken an interest in the extended family as a hobby.
Thomas's info seems correct. One correction would be the father of Joseph Flewellings (439218) wife Cora Doan. Her father was William Titus Doan (not Fetus) married to Mary Ann Teeple.William Titus Doan b.1851 Canada was the son of John Doan and Marrila of Elgin County,Ontario,Canada (from the Crowland Township, Ontario, Doans). Mary Ann Teeple was the daughter of Frederick Teeple and Margaret MaCallum(? third wife).Frederick Teeple was born circa 1795 in New Brunswick and was the son Peter Teeple and Lydia Mabee the Norfolk County, Ontario, pioneers.
As a side issue -- a small tidbit that I found interesting is another Sharpe-Flewelling connection.Nehemiah's wife was Sarah Sharpe of New Brunswick ,her granddaughter ,Amanda C. Flewelling(439214) married Moses A. Sharp born in New Brunswick circa 1856,the son of Joseph Sharp and Jane Jordon(per his death cert. and census records from 1861 York County, N.B.).Joeseph was the son of Samuel Sharp and Charity Crabb, also the possible parents of Sarah -Nehemiahs wife.Other Sharp-Flewelling connections in York Co., N.B. also exist as Nehemiah was the witness circa 1834 to the marriage of George Sharp, and John Sharp was a witness to Nehemiah's son Abel's marriage- all in the Douglas and Queensbury Parish areas circa 1830-1860.
Thanks, Bruce Flewelling
