Now you all need to stop putting today's values on yesterday's history. It is at it was...and it shouldn't be taken out of context. I have no shame of my family and the little part they played in shaping the history of Holmes County. This was another shameful episode in the history of our county, state and nation. It was a community located south of Ponce de Leon. They had their own school and when it was closed , they attended school in Defuniak Springs. I don't know if they didn't want to go to Ponce de Leon or were forced to go to Walton County. Probably neared to PDL. I grew up in Esto, but from what I heard, they were fine, hard working people. Joe R.
