You can get a copy of the death certificate by going to WWW9.myflorida.com/planning_eval/vital_statistics/death.htm

Read the requirements for obtaining a certificate showing cause of death. I have ordered death certs from Florida and received them within a few weeks. Cost is minimal. Also shown should be last address of deceased, name and address of informant, name and address of funeral home, name of cemetery. This should provide you with enough info to be able to contact someone who can give you info about the son. Good luck.
