Hi Will, I don't know what your origninal query was re: Torano & Salgado.
Bert was right they were not in 1930 census. However, I did find the following.
Don't know if it pertains to you or not:

Armando Torano,Jr. bn. 25 Sep. 1940 in Miami, Dade Co. Fl.
Died 14 June 1994 in Manchester, Coffee Co. Tn.
Father: Living Torano-Ortiz
Mother: Living Salgado
Marriage: Living Speight
