I would think that Quartermaster is a rank, although I haven't noticed that
rank before. The Second Seminole Indian War was between 1836-1842 if I am
not mistaken on the beginning and ending dates.

It would have depended on the unit with which they were involved as to where
they were mustered in and mustered out.

If you search for your surname at this site you will find the index refers to
the pages where the rosters are listed as well as other information.
