I am seeking information on a Junell (not sure of spelling) BOWEN from
Tupelo, Mississippi. Here is what I know and why I am seeking this
information.
In 1950, Miss Bowen was admitted to the Medical College Hospital of
Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, as the result of an automobile accident.
While there she became friends with Joyce Branch. When Miss Bowen was
released from the hospital to return to Tupelo, Joyce took vacation time
from her job and traveled to Mississippi with Miss Bowen. Two weeks
later Joyce returned to Richmond and to work.
The next year Joyce and I were married, and various Navy transfers,
raising two children and developing careers caused Joyce and Miss Bowen
to loose contact with each other. However, over the years, my wife has
spoken of her often.
I am now retired and have taken up genealogy as a hobby. I thought that
maybe I could find Miss Bowen, or some information about her to surprise
my wife. I know she would love to find her friend again, or at least
learn about her.
All I know is that my wife has always said that Miss Bowen was a
beautiful girl, she was from Tupelo, Mississippi, and she must be about
the same age as my wife (70 this year). I know this is not much to go
on, but am hoping someone on the BOWEN list may know something that will
help me.
All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
