Hello! I am looking for information about M C (Mac) Hingson. I came across this name while searching for ancestors down my Armistead Hingson line. Armistead's second wife, Nancy Anna, was enumerated in 1880 in Madison County with son, Mac; wife, Rebecca; sons, John H and William (Willie); daughters, Laura, Lillie and Rosa; and Mac's brother, Smith (Samuel Smith Hingson). Nancy Anna Rutherford (?) Patterson Hingson died on 15 Nov 1889, possibly in Suwannee County, because she is buried in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
All of Armistead and Nancy's (combined from all marriages) children were: Sarah E, Eliza F, Susan Harriet, Caroline Nancy, John R, Henry E, James W, Caroline Patterson, Enoch Patterson, William Patterson, Mary, James W (why this name is repeated on the 1860 Federal Census, and 4 years younger than the first James W I don't know!), Joshua, Franklin H and Samuel Smith.
I'm sure someone can shed some light!
Thank you for your help!
Jo Ann
