Is anyone researching Fosters in SC? I am reseaching McComb/McCombs family
in Abbeville County SC. I have two of my early McCombs family that married
into the SC Foster family.

ANDREW MCCOMB who was born c. 1755-1765 married REBECCA "ELIZA KATIE"
FOSTER. Andrew owned a grist mill on LONG CANE CREEK in ABBEVILLE COUNTY SC.
It seems he carved a tombstone for CATHERINE CALHOUN (granDmother of JOHN C.
CALHOUN) and 22 others killed in the LONG CANE INDIAN MASSACRE Feb 1 1760.
Andrew died 1819 in Abbeville County SC.

Their son MAJOR JOHN MCCOMB married CATHERINE "KITTY" FOSTER. She was the
daughter of JEHU FOSTER and MARGARET PERRIN. Major John was born c.
1779-1784 and died Aug 1829 while in the SC House of Representatives.

Have additional infomation.. would love to share!!
