I've been searching my Foster Tree since I got on the Net, Day & Nite
sometimes,
10 & 12 hrs a day, I have been shaking the s--- out of it, & the big one
Finally paid off.
While at the Family History Center here in ST. George I was going over some
Miro film & had hit the same dead end James Foster b. 1797 somewhere in
TN ?
The Lady there,( I'm not Mormon) was a great help, nice, helpful people.
She said I aught to try the Surname Microfish, she said U jest never know
what will
turn up.
I found a Microfish, on the Foster's in Ref: to a Book written by Carlton
Green, in 1912
Called The Foster Family.
"It Ref: James William Foster ( 1776-1861) Immigrated Frm England To
Tennessee
abt 1816. After the death of his wife, Mary Burris, He Married Rebecca
Rogers,
and they moved to Mississippi. Their Son, James Jackson, Married Leon
"Pernelia"
Johnson in 1870. In 1880, they Migrated to Texas where Descendants have
remained."
I've got a copy of the book on Microfish coming.
My Grandfather was Ernest G. Mutt Foster,
My gGrandfather was Henry Clay Foster
My ggGrandfather was John B. Foster / Half Brother to James Jackson Foster
My gggGrandfather was James William Foster
The Microfilm also lists surnames of Amburn, Bennett, Crider, Green,
Musick,
Waldrip.
Any one else out there, on the Foster list have these connections ?
Respectfully Yers
