As I told everyone last Friday, I'de gone to the local FHC, & I'de Found a
record
in the Microfich, to a book called The Foster Family, I went back down
there yesterday, To see what else I could find In Ref:, to maybe who put
this info in.
It turns out the book was not written in 1912, that was Carleton Green's
year of
birth, the book was written in 1981, Mr. Green passed away about 4 years
ago.
One of the other Gentlemen at the center, suggested I go to their computer
room,
& Go thru the IGI files, & the Ancestral Files, so I went spent the whole
morning there.
There were no hits in the IGI, But I got a hit in the Ancestural File, That
showed the down line of James Jackson Foster b. 6 Oct. 1851, He was a half
brother to John B. Foster, same father different mother's. Plus it showed 5
generations.
They were able to go back in the files,and get me the name of who submitted
all this infomation, and as it turns out it was only submitted last year.
Here's the KICKER, The family member who submitted this, is Hal B.
Farneman,
He & his family live right here in Saint George, UT. I about fell out of my
chair !
So I tried calling Hal & only got his answering Mach. about 2 pm I was
on my way out to see Nancy ( Wife) at her school, Hal's address was on the
way, so I stopped by, and He was home, He'd just got my Message, I spent
the most delightfull next 2 1/2 hours talking with him, Plus he had a copy
of the book, which he gave me on loan, to do more of my research.
EVERYONE if U haven't done it yet, & it does not matter what religion U R,
U don't have to be LDS get over to the Family History Center in your area,
These Place have so much Information, it is mind boggleing.
U NEVER KNOW WHAT U WILL TURN UP. KEEP DIGGING
