Hi there,

I am looking for a JOSIAH FOSTER who was born in Edgefield, SC abt. 1835.
He traveled to Chambers Co. AL by the year of 1840 and was included in the
census there. I found a brief notation in the "The Reason for the Tears, A
History of Chambers Co" that he left Chambers Co in the year of 1845 "for
Mississippi." This is where the trail ends for me. I do not know at this
point if he married in AL before he left or started a family in Miss. Perhaps
he kept on traveling west to Texas?

If he had a daughter, chances are that one of them would be named Margaret
(for his mother) or Elizabeth (for his grandmother), or Margaret E. as was
common with his sisters offspring! Does this ring any bells for anyone?

I am not a member of a Miss Roots-web so if someone could forward this along
to the Miss-roots-web, I would really appreciate it.
