Hi! I'm new to the FOSTER mailing list.

I have very little to go on here, but hope to learn more about Olive
FOSTER (COLE), who I believe born in Massachusetts in 1833. I have a
photograph of her on her 88th birthday in 1921 in northern California.

This is part of my research into the family of Charles Melvin COLE
(2/28/1860-2/6/1936). His father was Nathaniel COLE, his mother Olive
FOSTER COLE (1833-after 1921). The family came out to northern
California from Massachusetts around 1869 and started a furniture
company in San Francisco. Charles had one or two brothers and at least
one sister. The women of that generation were named Mae, Nell and
Carrie - but I don't know which were sisters and which were
sisters-in-law.

Charles was married to my great grandmother, Donna Rita Bramhall COLE
(born Lillie Emily Bramhall) for over 40 years. There were no children
from their marriage. They lived in Mill Valley California from 1906 on.

Ring any bells? Looking forward to hearing from anyone who knows
anything about the family of Olive FOSTER COLE. Thanks!
