Thank you so much for the Franklin Co. Cemetery information. Every bit of new
information brings along new questions....My grandmother Nancy Jane Alspaugh
was the widow of Arthur Lightfoot when she married my grandfather ,James
Hollis Foster. R.C.Foster co-signed his marriage bond. I have had no luck at
all in finding out who he was and what his connection was in the family. Now
maybe this will give me some help I need on that. Another coincidence is his
being buried in the McClure Cemetery. My father, Hugh "Boots" Foster had
sweetheart named Verna McClure before he whent into the Navy at the beginning
of WW1. I have several sweet pictures of her and Daddy standing on the side
of a country road there in Franklin Co. at that time.
Another possble connection is the name Hatchett Cemetery. In my records I
have the name Betty Hatchett of Winchester . She was a descendent through
Sarah Wall of the same Alspaugh line of Nancy Jane Alspaugh.
If you know of any surviving members of any of these people who might be
interested in contacting me , please feel free to pass on my address.
