Hello!

I'm totally new to the web, and since subscribing to the Foster-Digest a
couple of
weeks ago have been overwhelmed with the almost daily E-mail. I have TWO
Foster
lines, one northern and one southern and could use a lot of help on both.

Southern Line: Augusta Foster (b. abt. 1755-1760), wife of Isaac Patton
, daughter
of Andrew Foster, whose will was probated Nov. 11, 1783 in Old 96
District,
Abbeville, S.C. Andrew's will says, "to my wife Margaret". Augusta's
husband
"fought, bled, and died for his country" and she was left with 6 little
boys. She
and the boys went with her brother-in-law, Jacob Patton to Madison and
Lincoln
Cos. in Kentucky.

Northern Line: Hannah Foster,(b. Aug. 24, 1784 in Clarendon, Rutland Co.,
Vt.),
wife of John Hammett Stone and buried in Branch Co., Michigan. Family
was in
Crawford Co., Penn. in the early 1830's. John H. Stone is buried there.
We
believe , but are uncertain, that she is the daughter of Benjamin C.
Foster and
Hannah Collins Foster.
