An Adolph Foster is listed (in the county history) as a merchant in Lincoln
Co., Missouri in 1820. This area is close to St. Louis and accessible by
steamboat and keelboat. Is anyone aware of a person by the name of Foster
who may have conducted business in this area at that time?
I have been unable to find him on the census...so perhaps he missed the count
due to river travel...or Adolph was a middle name. Would appreciate any
suggestions.
