Hi list

I am looking for the parents of my 3 great grandfather.

His name was James F. Foster. According to the 1860 Yazoo County, MS census.
He was born in SC in 1825.

He came to MS with his some of his brothers and a cousin.
Anthony Young Foster
Thomas Foster
Charles Henry Foster
William Foster.
Cousin Jesse FOSTER

James married Delilah Eliza Frazier abt 1845. James served in the Civil war
as a Private in Company G. 40th Mississippi Infantry, along with either his
brother of son. He died Sept 5, 1863 at the Prison camp at Enterprise, MS
(Leake County).

I\t has always been said that my FOSTER'S had Indian blood in them either
Cherokee or Chickasaw.
