<<Hi,
I wrote you before that I might have something of interest to the FOX
group. What I have is a book that has some old churches described from
early colonial Virginia.
Anyway, the book has no index of yet, but as I was going through
copying it and making a Table of Contents, it didn't have that either, I
stumbled across the names FOX and BALL in the book. I am copying the
book and getting someone to index it for me. I will be selling the
book in about a months' time or so. If anyone is interested, please let
me know.
As soon as I get an index, I can look for the names of FOX and BALL .
I will do look ups as soon as I get an index or find where in the book
these names are listed. It is impossible to do look ups with out an
index and the book has over 300 pages. I don't know if they are
associated with more than one church in the book. When I was flipping
through, I saw the names in one place and then lost it when I started
copying the book .
These are not my family names that I search, I search the BROACH name
that is also in the book. But I kept seeing so many people on Va.Roots
and other LISTS that search the FOX/BALL name.
So maybe give me a short list of the most important or oldest
FOX/BALL names and as I"m getting it ready to index and copy, if i see
these names I;ll send them to you and you can post them to the group. Is
that OK.
Maybe some can do up a general small list for me to work with of names in
this family.
Well, I hope this will be of help to some that are searching these
lines.
The book has so much genealogy and I"m not sure what is there until the
index is finished. Send some names to me..>>
Kay,
This is interesting catching you on the list, after just
communicating about the Burch and Broach families. If you run across a
William Eires Fox in that book, I definitely want one. He would have been
born ca. 1757 perhaps in Virginia. It is his family who connected with the
Broach/Burch families in Person County, NC and eventually some of their
descendants moved down to Gordon County, Georgia.
Will anticipate a positive response!!!!!
Best regards,
John Fox
