A couple of minor corrections to Crystal's posting. Thomas Fox who married Martha Mildred Sealock in Rappahannock Co., VA, was the same Thomas Fox who died 1873 in Warren Co., VA. His marriage record to his second wife said his parents were Adam & Frances Fox. His death record says his father was Thomas Fox. Both records say he was born in Culpeper Co. He was born circa 1811.

I think, but can't prove, that he was the son of Thomas Fox, who was a son of Anthony Fox.

John Peter Fox died 1787 in Culpeper Co; his estate was finally settled about 1801.

An old Fox journal written in the 1930's says Anthony Fox moved from Prince William Co., VA to Harrison Co., VA/WV and back to Prince William Co., VA, where he died 1828. That is not true. He was in Culpeper Co., VA from 1810 to 1820. He moved to Harrison Co., and then moved back to Culpeper Co., where he appears in a minute book record dated 1832. He applied for a Rev War pension both in Harrison Co and in Culpeper Co. Therefore, he did not die until 1832 or later. His Rev War pension application was neither accepted nor rejected. This is probably just as well, because I have searched for him in all sorts of Rev War records. No Anthony Fox ever appeared in any payroll list or other list as serving under the officers that Anthony named in his Rev War pension application. I did find one in another outfit who was always sick in camp.
